Read this prayer before you start, “I will master it no matter what!” 💪😈

To Aru Fuyu no Tsuki ga Kireina Yoru.
Samusa no Seika Mimi no Oku ga Itamu Yoru.
Naran Da Hitokumi no Danjo ga Aru-ite Iru.

It was night, with a beautiful winter’s moon.
That night, perhaps because of the cold, my ears’ insides were aching.
There was a man and a woman were walking together.

A certain winter’s moon, regarding it, it was beautiful. A night.
The cold, perhaps because of which, my ears’ insides were aching. A night.
An aligned pair from both genders was walking.

Otoko ga Futo “Tsuki ga Kirei Da” to Nan-no Kinashi ni Hanatsu to, Onna wa “E, Sorette Kokuhaku?” to Odoketa yō ni Tazuneru.

The man said, “the moon is beautiful”, without any qualms. “Huh, is that a confession?”, she asked like she was surprised.

Translator’s Note: In Japan, “the moon is beautiful tonight” means “I love you.”

The man released, without whatever sort of feeling, “the moon is beautiful”. “Huh, is that a confession?”, she asked like she was surprised.

“Iya, Sonna Tsumori wa nai yo.
Demo Kimi ga Sō Uketoru nara Sore wa Kimi no Jiyū sa.”

“No.
But you’re free to understand it the way you want.”

“No, things like these intentions do not exist, hey!
But receiving the proper meaning is your liberty.”

“Nani Sore, Jā mō Isshoni Ite-agenai yo.”

“What is that? Well, then I won’t be with you anymore.”

“What is that. Alright, I will not continue to exist while pushing things further together with you. Beat it!”

“Tsumari Wakarerutte Koto Kai?
Betsu ni Kamawanai yo.
Boku wa Hitoride mo Daijōbu dakara ne.”

“So you want to break up?

“In short, is it a separation, yes or no?

Otoko ga Massugu Saki wo Minagara Kotaeru to Onna ga Otoko no Tekubi wo Tsukami Tachidomaru.

Otoko ga Furikaeru to Onna wa Me wo Junshoku-maseteiru.

“Gomen, mō Sonna Koto Iwanai kara.
Nani ga Attemo, Watashi wa Isshoni Iru kara.”

Otoko wa Kotaeta.

The man answered:

The man, regarding him, he answered:

「ごめん、嘘をついてた。
本当は君のことが好きだよ。
片時だって離れてほしくはないさ。
でも少しは本当のことも言ったよ。
僕はもう一人でも大丈夫なんだ。
だから手を放してくれないかい。
そんなに強く掴まれてちゃ、僕が前に進むのに少しばかり重たいから。」

Gomen, Uso wo Tsu-iteta.
Hontō wa Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dayo.
Katatoki Datte Hanarete Hoshiku wa nai sa.
Demo Sukoshi wa Hontō no Koto mo Itta yo.
Boku wa mō Hitori de mo Daijōbu Nan-Da.
Dakara Te wo Hanashite Kurenaikai.
Sonna ni Tsuyoku Tsukamaretecha, Boku ga Mae ni Susumu no ni Sukoshi Bakari Omotai kara.

Otoko ga Sō Tsugeru to, Onna wa Sukoshi Sabishisō ni, Damatte Te wo Hanashita.

Soshite Otoko wa Futatabi Saki wo Muite Hitori Aruki Dasu.

To Aru Fuyu no Tsuki ga Kireina Yoru.
Samusa no Seika Tekubi no Furukizu ga Itamu Yoru.
Ki-dzuke ba Hitori no Otoko dake ga Aruite Ita.

It was night, with a beautiful winter’s moon.
That night, perhaps because of the cold, the scars of my wrist were aching.
I notice that only one man was walking.

A certain winter’s moon, regarding it, it was beautiful. A night.
The cold, perhaps because of which, the scars of my wrist were aching. A night.
If I notice one person’s man, only of which, was walking.
