1. The song “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry, came out in 2010. I liked this song because my 15 year old self found it easy to relate to. It was one of the songs that all my friends would drive around singing to right after we all got our licenses. So, as embarassing as it is, it was one of my favorites.

2. Lady Antebellum was one of my favorite country music artists when I was a teenager. My parents only listen to country so that is what I grew up on. I always really wanted to go to a Lady Antebellum concert, but never did. “Need You Now” was one of my favorite songs because I had just broken up with my boyfriend, so it was an appropriate song to listen to on repeat.

“And I wonder if I ever cross your mind?
For me it happens all the time”

3. “I Gotta Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas was literally played at every social function at my high school. I remember I went to the homecoming dance and this song got played over three times, which was excessive. I really enjoyed this song when it first came out, but after it got overplayed so many times, I was over it. However, it still remains an essential song choice from my teenage years.
