8 Awesome Booths from INTA 2019
The INTA Annual Meeting is the largest and most influential gathering of brand owners, intellectual property (IP) professionals and service providers from around the world and from across industries.
I had the privilege of attending the 141st Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, May 18‒22, 2019. I definitely learned a lot, met and networked with amazing people from around the world, toured a bit around Boston, attended some colorful events, and more.
INTA was held at the Boston Exhibition and Convention center in downtown Boston. This place was huge. — It would have to be with more than 13,000 attendees from around the globe.
I asked one of the workers what it was like working in this convention center, and he told me that on average, he walks 10 miles a day just walking around the hall. (Holy crap!!) I can only guess how many miles I walked during the week.
One of the things that particularly stood out for me were the booths at INTA. Some of them took 2-full days to construct, and I could understand why. There was clearly tremendous thought, consideration, and creativity that went into the design of some of these booths — and it was pretty impressive.
There were so many great booths, but I wanted to highlight some of my favorite (in no particular order).
Here are my 8 Awesome Booths from INTA 2019
- Dennemeyer: The IP Group
2. Ipan Delegate
This booth decided to engage its audiences with a carnival-style game — trying to hit the bell with a sledgehammer. Needless to say, I hit it on the first try :).
3. Novagraaf
4. The PCT Network: The world’s largest network of Patent and Trademark Professionals for foreign filing
5. Patrix
6. WebTMS
7. Get Sucks (get.sucks)
This booth was giving out free custom t-shirts (fill-in-the-blank.sucks) and always had a line wrapping around the booth of people wanting to get one. For a conference of lawyers, they sure did want to tell people what sucked :)! (Don’t worry, I got mine also.)
8. Corsearch
Something that never ceases to amaze me about the trademark (and patent) world is the amount of energy, innovation, and excitement that surrounds this industry, and this conference definitely did not disappoint.
