Ghost buttons: Why you should be afraid.

I think the chances of the button being lost or unreadable is the real problem. As a way of emphasizing a secondary button ghost buttons can be effective, especially on a solid color background. Dramatic, blanket statements about them are largely useless however. Like any other design choice, if they are clear to the user than they are effective, otherwise they should be changed no matter how slick they look.
