Starting early is very essential, this is because waiting until the end of the semester to work on a big project will only lead to over stress and poor performance.

Getting an early start will take load off you when you are swamp with studying for exams.

2. Time management:

A good time management helps you organise your day to day tasks and maintain diligence.

You will have to write down all major exams for a given semester or term. You should includes all allotted times for studying and keep to them.

You will be amazed you have studied almost all that you have to read for the exam. By so doing success is sure.

3.Don’t be overly involved in extracurricular activities:

It is good to be involved in extracurricular activities while in school but overloading oneself with it might lead to poor academic performance.

4. Learn to be flexible:

Sometimes life intervenes and makes it difficult or impossible to reach a goal when you want to, or to finish a project on time.

You may have to reschedule, rework and reevaluate your goals. This is all okay and normal part of progress.

There is no need to be hard on yourself when this happens.

However, don’t confuse real reason(like a sudden sever illness in the family or the loss of a job) with excuses( your friend called and want to hang out when you have a deadline).

Make sure you are communicating with professors and teachers. You may even want to contact your academic advisor.

  • BEING DILIGENT AT WORK

1. Remove distractions:

Too much time on the internet, on phone or in front of the television can distract you from your goals.

It is easy to get off task if your phone is going off or you have social media tabs open on your computer while you are working.

There are even apps that help you remove distractions for certain periods of time.

You can turn off your notification on your phone or turn on the '’do not disturb’' mode.

2. keep yourself organise with to-do lists:

You can make a separate list for urgent, high- priority, and low-priority tasks. Or you can make lists by date.

For example, you can list all the tasks that need to be done today in one list and all that need to be done tomorrow on another list.

By knowing what you want to accomplish, you can get a lot more done.

Breaking larger task into smaller one can help have an overview of the overall time a task will take and it potential complexity.

You can schedule time for each task or subtask. Keeping the list to three items can help you focus and get things done.

3. prioritize:

Deadlines can help you determine what is important as well as the impact of completing or not completing a task will have on you and your employer.

4. Use time efficiently:

Making a scheduled and having a time plan for the day will be of help.

This is where you can set deadlines, make appointments and schedules breaks.

Remember to give yourself enough time for each task.

Sometimes devotion will appear easy but other times you will have to push yourself to maintain it.

2. Develop yourself awareness:

Being self aware will allow you to recognise when you are taking on too much or if you need to change something about your goals.

Take stock of how things are going for you on a regular basis to determine when something is not working and might need adjustment.

3.Self reward and motivation:

The kind of reward will depends on the kind of milestones you have reached and the type of goals you are pursuing.

For instance, if you are intent to losing weight, don’t reward yourself on extra-large pizza when you lose a significant weight.

You don’t want to reward every little thing, because the rewards will lose their meaning. Rather, focus on rewarding real progress by setting up subgoals and rewarding yourself once you have met those goals.

Each step usually builds upon the previous. With time, you will see how your hard works has paid off.

5.Find an accountability partner or group:

This should be a person who knowns you well enough to ascertain what might get in your way.

They will be helpful in motivating you to make progress on your goals. Sometimes all you need is someone who is working on same goal as you.

For example if you are trying to loss weight, you might try a weight lose group.

6.Be realistic:

you may need to reschedule your task or times.
