True love Is Not Transactional; Here Is What It Is
Transactional love can be viewed as the kind of love that breaks one down. This kind of love dumps you once the terms and conditions strengthening the bonds are no longer favorable. Transactional love is very common in our society today.
A friend of mine was telling me about her lover saying '’I am in love with him because he loves me, he’s hard working and responsible '' Then I asked her, what if another guy who’s more good looking, has more money and loves you more, comes asking you out? Will you dump the former and follow the latter ? She didn’t answer my question but only smiled.
Now, that’s the question. You will find out that a lot of persons are just being dishonest with themselves. 90% will choose the latter. However, there is nothing wrong with choosing and leaving whoever you want but it is good we embrace the spirit of contentment and make relationship more of transformational rather than transactional.
Transformational love on the other hand, builds one up. This is the true kind of love. It is natural, not self centered, unexplainable and never built on certain conditions. Transformational love takes one from ZERO to HERO, from emptiness to fullness of joy and fulfilments in all areas of life.
Transformational love does not take but gives and gives, without expectations or judgement.
Final thought
It is better not to be involved in a relationship if you cannot add good colors or transform someone’s life for the better than to be involved and break them down.
