Hi ndergrond. Thanks for your question! The doctor I worked with said the chances are roughy 10% that a single frozen egg will result in a later pregnancy, so they try to get more than 10 eggs in a stimulation & retrieval cycle. Probability of success is also very dependent on the person’s chemistry (how ready the body is to receive an embryo later, etc). Personally — the 1/10 chance is pretty good I think as it includes the compounded probability of success over multiple steps, including 1) retrieval, 2) freezing, 3) thawing (someday), 4) fertilization, 5) implantation & attachment to the endometrium.
