How to Become a Certified Nursing Assistant in Connecticut?
A certified nursing assistant (CNA) is the backbone of the health care industry. Their duties vary according to the patient’s condition and their need for care. Educational Requirements

CNA Program

The program also includes clinical training which further emphasizes patient care through interactions with patients and their families.
Experience Required
CNA programs require participants to complete clinical hours to strengthen their practical skills. This externship aids to build patient care skills, learn how to check vital signs, and practice CPR. Students often complete these hours at a local hospital, nursing home, or extended care facility.
Post-Graduation
After completion of the program, students will appear for the state’s nursing assistant certification i.e. Connecticut Nurse Aide Exam before practicing.
