The shift is evidently toward a more interactive style of learning. From the dusty era of blackboards and chalk to the sleek, interactive whiteboards of today, our classrooms have evolved with the times. As we stand on the precipice of a new era, it’s only natural to wonder what education will look like in 20 years.

But one thing is sure, education’s technological leap forward won’t be a radical overhaul but rather a series of practical improvements. The educational journey from clunky cathode-ray TVs to versatile flatscreen wonders mirrors the technological leaps we’ve experienced since the ’90s. But what’s next?

As crazy as it may sound, the metaverse is the next frontier for education. A digital realm where students can don virtual reality headsets and be transported to any place, any time, learning history by walking through ancient civilizations, conducting experiments in virtual labs, and even simulating the workplace of the future — the metaverse offers limitless possibilities. The future of education will be a dynamic blend of the virtual and the tangible, combining the best of both worlds.
