Actually you can also go one step further and define different App Icon Set Names so that each configuration has its own icon (in addition to its own APP_DISPLAY_NAME). I usually define my own “CONFIG_SUFFIX” key and use it like this :

Then, in the Assets.xcassets, I create an App Icon Set for each configuration with the correct name (ex :
