Watsonx has three core components:-

- Watsonx.ai
Watsonx.ai is a unified environment for training and deploying AI models of all types, including generative AI, foundation models, and machine learning models. It provides a wide range of tools and services to help users develop, train, tune and deploy AI models, including:
- Pre-trained models and datasets: It provides a library of pre-trained models and datasets that users can leverage to get started with AI development.
- Model training and deployment tools: It provides a variety of tools and services to help users train and deploy AI models, including model training frameworks, deployment tools, and MLOps tools.
- Responsible AI tools: It provides a number of tools and services to help users develop and deploy AI models in a responsible and ethical manner, such as bias mitigation tools and explainability tools.
2. Watsonx.data
Watsonx.data is a fit-for-purpose data store built on an open data lakehouse architecture. It provides a unified view of data across all types of sources, including structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data. Moreover,it also provides a number of features to help businesses manage their data more effectively, such as data governance and data cataloging capabilities.

3. Watsonx.governance
Watsonx.governance is a toolkit to accelerate AI workflows that are built with responsibility, transparency, and explainability. It provides tools and services to help users:
- Identify and manage AI risks
- Monitor and audit AI performance
- Explain AI models and decisions
- Build responsible AI workflows.
Watsonx is still under development, but it is already being used by a number of leading companies, including Bank of America, CVS Health, and Walmart.
