Why You Need To Fuck Up
Fucking up is KEY to getting what you want in life.
My fear of fucking up was creating the fuck ups so I might as well just consciously decide that I’m going to fuck up anyway.
When I let myself do this, doing the action of the thing got a shit ton easier to do.
Because it took away the neediness of getting things perfect.
And when you’re not in a flappy state of mind, you’re focused on the job at hand.
For example;
Say you want a relationship. But the thought of even TALKING to the opposite sex makes you prefer to lick razorblades.
(I hear they’re pretty tasty).
But if you went in like a kamikaze … even to the point where the chick or guy was laughing at you … and you were completely open to fucking it up, the fear would go.
Why?
Because you bulldozed it my friend.
Your lack of care about fucking it up prepared you for the worst … which didn’t turn out to be the worst … because you reframed it.
You took ownership of it & empowered yourself by giving yourself the control.
And it’s like anything.
I’m the Queen of Fuck Ups (funny, yesterday I was the Queen of overthinking. What can I say? I’m every woman).
I got deported from Costa Rica.
I’ve been fired from more jobs than you’ve had hot dinners.
I drove a car through a fence & into a paddock trying to fishtail it like all the boys could.
At 16 years old I helped a rapist hide from authorities when he escaped the local maximum security prison (THIS is a story for another day).
I accidentally set fire to Devil’s Marbles campground which is a popular tourist site in central Australia … burning acres of land.
I’ve been stone broke at borders, after taxi rides or when I need somewhere to sleep.
I’ve stuck my neck out again and again with ZERO thought of the consequences — and then suffered at the hands of them.
FUCK! I could SO go on.
But then it all gets a bit self serving so I’ll stfu before it gets out of hand.
Do I regret any of that?
Fuck no!
And either should you.
YOU will fuck up!
No matter what you do.
Anything you want to learn and master, you’re going to misjudge your move again and again and again and again.
And THAT’S the path to Mastery!
Because each time you misjudge, it means you MADE THAT SHOT!
Anyone who makes shots, regardless of whether they win on that one or the next one … will always be a winner because they gave it a red hot go.
So keep fucking up my friend. Your success depends on it.
