United Airlines Web check-in According to the new boarding process: Boarding will now take place in small groups from the back of the plane. You can register online from the official United Airlines website by following the steps below:
- Go to United.com.
- Select Check-in.
- On the next screen:
- Enter your confirmation number and last name.
- Click Search (You can also sign up with your MileagePlus® account if you have one).
- Select your flight and register.
- After registering online, you can:
Print your own boarding pass
Have a link emailed to your mobile device and then show your boarding pass barcode at security and when boarding your plane.
You will not be eligible for online check-in if:
- You have a paper ticket.
- You travel with a pet.
- Your reservation contains a special service request to see a United Airlines representative at the airport.
- You are traveling in Basic Economy and have not specified that you will check luggage
- Your itinerary contains more than 4 flights
- Travel with more than 9 people on your reservation
United Airlines Mobile Check-in
To register from the United Airlines mobile app:

United Airlines voice check-in
If you can’t check in for your flight online or with the mobile app, United Voice Registration allows you to check in over the phone.
How to use United Airlines voice billing service
- To use the voice registration option:
- Say Register in the automatic menu.
- You can use the voice check-in option if you are traveling within the United States and Canada and there are fewer than 10 passengers on your reservation.
- The voice check-in option also allows you to select the number of bags to check-in, hear baggage charges, and arrange for your boarding pass to be emailed to you or collected from an airport kiosk.
Automatic United Airlines check-in
You can use United Airlines’ automatic check-in option if you have a return flight or a flight within 24 hours of an existing flight. Once you select the feature, you can choose to receive your boarding pass by email, on your mobile device (if available), or pick up a hard copy from an airport kiosk.
Curbside check-in at United Airlines airport
You can check in for your United Airlines flight at the curb of most US airports 4 hours to 30 minutes before your flight (depending on your departure airport).
How to check in at the airport curb
To check in at the airport curb for your United Airlines flight, you will need your:
- Photo ID and
- Flight reservation code, or

- E-Ticket Number

Check-in at the United Airlines airport kiosk
To check-in from your airport kiosk, you will need your:
- 6-character confirmation number, or
- 13-digit e-ticket number
- United MileagePlus frequent flyer card, or
- Credit card, or Passport
In addition to registering, you will also be able to:
- Print your boarding pass
- Check in your luggage
- Label your luggage (at selected airports)
- Select, change or update your seat
- Get ready for the premium cabin seat

- Add your MileagePlus number to your reservation
- Change to a flight the same day
- Find an alternate flight if your flight is delayed or canceled
