How to get App ID and App Name

Play Store Apps

*On the web

1. Open Google Play Store on your browser.
2. Search for the app of your choice and click on it.
3. On the app page, copy the ID from the address bar as shown below i.e the part of the url that comes after “id =”.
4. Ensure there are no extra characters, else the ID will be invalid.
5. Your ID is ready to use. Paste the copied ID where needed.

*On the mobile app

1. Open Play Store app on your mobile device.
2. Search for the app of your choice and click on it.
3. Click on share app to generate a url that can be shared. Copy the url.
4. Paste this url in a plain text field and then copy the ID from the last part of the url after “id =” as shown below.
5. Ensure there are no extra characters, else the ID will be invalid.
6. Your ID is ready to use. Paste the copied ID where needed.

App Store

*On the web/mobile app

1. Open App Store in your web browser or mobile app.
2. Search for the app of your choice.
3. Copy the name of the app as displayed on App Store.
4. Paste the name in the field where it is needed.
