In-person Drop
#Extramile

In-person drop was new for me as I have never done an in-person drop before. It was a life changing experience. I learned a lot during this activity.
I was afraid how am I going to do it, how will I go there, how will I meet an HR, what will I say.
I loved Albert Einstein’s quote:
“The only source of knowledge is experience.”

It really helped me to experience an in-person drop and get knowledge about it.
I decided to go to a small organization rather than going to my dream company. It was my first experience so I needed a lot of courage. It was a tough journey for me.

But I gathered all the courage and decided to go there. I took my bike and reached there with all my courage but I made a mistake, I forgot my cover letter but I decided to drop my resume. I asked the guard to let me in I want to meet your HR manager. He asked me my purpose of visit. I told him; I want to drop my resume. He took my resume and said we’ll call you because I did not even knew the Hr manager’s name.
So it was a learning experience

It was new for me and I made a mistake. So I decided to do complete research of the company. I did full research of the company and this time I was fully equipped
I reached there and told the guard that I am here to meet your HR manager but this time I used HR manager’s name so he asked for my CNIC card and let me in. I reached the receptionist and asked him for the HR manage. He asked me to wait. I waited for almost an hour and then the HR manager came. He called me, I went into his office, gave him a firm handshake and asked for the permission to sit down using his name.
He asked me to introduced myself. I gave him a brief intro then he asked me: why I am here, I used my elevator pitch to answer his question. He asked me that did you applied online?, I told him; I did applied online but I am here to meet you personally and to drop my resume in person.
He gave me a very positive response. He told me that they do not have any vacancies but they will consider me when they will have a spot free. I gave him my regard and ask for his e-mail which he gave me.

It was a great experience for me. I learned a lot. I learned from my mistakes and also learned from my experience. It was really encouraging so I decided to go to another organization to go #Extramile and to go for another drop-in, that was also a great experience.
We should always go #Extramile because
“Go the Extra Mile, It’s never Crowded there.”

We should never give up because our biggest weakness lies in giving up as Thomas A. Edinson said:
“Our Greatest Weakness lies in Giving Up.”

From this experience, I learned:
“Fear is a Reaction, Courage is a Decision.”
“Courage is the Magic that turn Dream into Reality.”
“Courage does not mean you are not Afraid, Courage means you do not let Fear stop you.”
“Courage is not the Absence of Fear, It is the Ability to Act in Presence of Fear.”
