#Interviewing An Interviewer
Reaching out to HR professionals to practice “Equip” and “Real” was a great experience. It was first time for each member of our AMAL Circle to experience such a challenge.

Our Experience was really wonderful it really helped us to learn about interviews. It was first time we had an appointment with an HR professional when we were not interviewees and actually we were the interviewers, it itself was a challenge to sit in front of an HR and asking questions. So we practiced our questions as a team and divide our questions so that everyone can ask a different question and experience interviewing an interviewer.

What we learned from this Experience:
Our main focus was how to be Equip and Real during an interview. So we get equipped for this interview keeping #Extramile concept back in our mind. So we decided to something that may be other Amal Fellows did not do. So we decided to bring a bokay with us.
As we had meeting with three different HR professionals so we learned different things for the same purpose.
We learned a lot of things like:

· Impromptu Speech:
Impromptu Speech is to randomly pick a topic and think about it for 1–2 minutes and give a 4–8 minutes speech without practice that really helps you build your confidence which is very important during an interview.

· Vocal Exercise:
Vocal exercise helps to clarify your voice and also give smoothness to your voice which gives you confidence to speak in public and voice clarity is very important during an interview as it puts positive impact on the interviewer.

· Be Real:
They advised to be real during an interview. They advised to be honest as if the interviewer asked a question and you don’t know the answer rather than lying you should tell him that you don’t know the answer.

· Practice:
Practice for an interview 10–14 days before the interview to be prepared, ready and confident for the interview.

What questions did we asked:
We asked question focusing on be real and equipped. So we asked questions like:
· How should we equip for an interview?
· What should we do if we do not the answer to a question?
· What is the first thing you see in a candidate?
· How should we practice for an interview?

Three main takeaways and how will we apply them:
· We think for us impromptu speech and vocal exercise were new for us and we will try to practice them as suggested by HR.
· Be real, do not lie is a positive takeaway and we will try to implement that not only in interviews but also in real life.
· Practice for interviews 10–14 days before the interview and we try to that whenever we get a call for an interview.
As a whole it was a great experience for us and we really enjoyed it.
A experience that was really inspiring:
“Be Real,
Be Yourself,
Be Unique,
Be True,
Be Honest,
Be Humble,
Be Happy”.
