So in less than two weeks, I’m moving my whole life across the country. It’s for a good reason — I’m going to graduate school! I’m excited!
But I’m still fucking terrified. Excited, but fucking terrified.
I’m moving to College Station, Texas (all by myself) to start school at Texas A&M University, so I can study organic chemistry. I’m super pumped and slightly terrified, since I’ll be on my own (truly) and so far from my friends and family. I know I’ll make new friends there (already have, tbh) but there’s always something a little terrifying about a blank slate.
Dear Mythbusters team,
This morning, I watched the final and reunion episodes of Mythbusters and I’m not ashamed to admit that I cried a little when it ended. Ever since I was 9 years old, I’ve watched Adam and Jamie and the crew test myths using the scientific method, and of course, blow shit up. It was the big boost to my interest in science. I’d always had a natural curiosity about the world and was a voracious reader as a kid, but your show made me realize that science was cool.
As I went into high school, I aced…
