The Great Move

So in less than two weeks, I’m moving my whole life across the country. It’s for a good reason — I’m going to graduate school! I’m excited!

But I’m still fucking terrified. Excited, but fucking terrified.

I’m moving to College Station, Texas (all by myself) to start school at Texas A&M University, so I can study organic chemistry. I’m super pumped and slightly terrified, since I’ll be on my own (truly) and so far from my friends and family. I know I’ll make new friends there (already have, tbh) but there’s always something a little terrifying about a blank slate.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m looking forward to starting over in Texas. When my family moved to Iowa 10+ years ago, I absolutely hated it and, while I don’t hate it anymore, I’m not particularly fond of Iowa.

So here’s to the journey, and hoping that Texas is everything it’s cracked up to be.
