If it wasn’t ‘possible’ to separate Apple Music, it wouldn’t be standalone on the phone. The fight to keep iTunes together had been more political than a consequence of licensing or engineering feasibility. The Music app on iOS is owned by the OS team and designed by HI. iTunes is its own team that does things the way it wants to.

Even with that being the case, this is a concept. The process and considerations for making a concept are significantly different than for production design.
