The point of the concept is actually to show how to build an ecosystem of OS’s that can grow together, but specifically not just bringing iOS to the Mac. Without the terminal and great dev tools, how would we build apps? In fact, the shift to friendlier frameworks open a new opporunity for app innovation– and that includes dev tools. I am absolutely not arguing for an iOS approach to the desktop; i’d probably leave the platform if that happened.
