I wholeheartedly agree with you that Arrival succeeds where Interstellar falls short.

Thank you for the response Oscar. 
I’m actually quite excited about Blade Runner now. As for Villeneuve’s other works I find Prisoners to be the one with the best performances and an immensely taut script. Enemy was one of the most puzzling things I had come across in cinema lately and I liked how the effects of the movie lingered even hours and days after the movie. Sicario had some really tense moments and amazing sound design, though the end left me feeling really bleak and grey. 
It’s quite evident to say that Villeneuve is now amongst my favourites and in the same class as Nolan, Fincher and Aronofsky.
