Amazing Small Chops Vendors

Lagos and Abuja

Platter of small chops

I know what you are thinking “what does she have to say about small chops this time". Hear me out though… THERE’S NO CORRECT PARTY/OWAMBE WITHOUT SMALL CHOPS!

Yep, I said it!!!

Small chops is the first life of the party then, alcohol/other drinks and music follows next.

Small chops are hors d’oeuvres basically. The list of this is endless but I’ll restrict it to the regular small chops and sophisticated/big chops.

Regular small chops will usually have puff puff, spring rolls, samosas, mosa (plantain puff puff), grilled or peppered chicken, beef, gizzard or snail. This is the most affordable, popular and the most important. Every one tends to think of “this" as small chops once the name is mentioned.

While Sophisticated or Big chops includes other things such as mini burgers, corn on the cob, chips (yam, potato or plantain), grilled fish, chicken, turkey or prawn, sausage or corndog, sandwich, etcetera.

So here are a few of my recommendations of both small chops and “sophisticated” chops.

Regular Small Chops

  • Small chops ng — Lagos

They are located in Lagos state and their prices range from N500 to N10,000.

  • 12 baskets — Lagos and Abuja

They have offices in a few locations in Lagos and Abuja. Their prices range from N400 to N11,000. They also offer other services at additional costs.

  • Starters — Abuja

This is located in the city of Abuja and their prices range from as low as N80, depending on how you intend to mix and match your package. Surprising right?

  • Chopstix grills — Lagos

Chopstix is located in the University of Lagos. Absolutely one of the best small chops I’ve had. You can get a really luxurious pack for as low as N2,000. As a matter of fact, in the N2,000 Happy Box you get 4 samosas, 4 vegetable springroll, 4 BBQ Chicken, 12 puff puff and 12 banana fritters. That’s right. For just N2,000. Their price goes up to N12,000.

Sophisticated/Big Chops

  • Salt and Pepper — Lagos

Salt and Pepper is one of the most amazing vendor in Lagos. Your mix and match is totally up to you. You can order the box below for as low as N3,500. Just check out their instagram page and I promise that you won’t regret it.

  • Kewa’s kitchen — Lagos

Kewa’s kitchen is more of an online restaurant located in Lagos. They mostly cater for lunch for people who are employed however, they also do other catering services including wedding small chops or after part big chops.

  • Mo’s Munch — Abuja

Located in Abuja, their prices range from as low as N1,200. Their platters are rich and affordable.

  • Fish Academy — Abuja

The Fish Academy is majorly a seafood restaurant. They deal in anything seafood and the prices are fair enough. You could get a large platter of seafood boil for as low as N10,000.

  • Yomzys — Abuja

The platters at Yomzys are really interesting and affordable. What I truly mean is, you can order a full mini platter for N3,000. This consists of sweet potatoes, sauteed irish potatoes or yam fries, 2 chicken pieces, 4 peppered beef, 3 sausage bites and 2 peppered goat meat. All for just N3,000. Cheap right? If you are in Abuja, this is the best deal on big chops right now. Do not miss out.

  • Ammy smallchops — Abuja

Easily another amazing small/big chops vendor in Abuja. Their prices range from N500 to about N8,600.

  • iBot — Lagos

Having written a review on iBot sometime last year, it’s interesting to see again that it comes up in my blog. Their menu is excessive. The platters are from N8,000 and above. This restaurant is located in Surulere, Lagos.

These are a few of my amazing chops vendors who have been tested and trusted. Also, many of the above listed vendors actually make and deliver any hors d’oeuvres of your choice, all you need do is visit their handles and contact them at will.

Based on this post, I will be giving out a single person platter from one of the vendors above. I will post a few instructions on my Instagram and Twitter pages.

Don’t forget, variety is the Spice of life. *wink*

All photos in this post were taken by the vendors, I do not take credit for any.
