How is Network Marketing Different on the Internet?
Many of us are familiar with the term network marketing. As implied in the name, it’s a business model where people selling goods or services develop their own network. And, truly, every good business needs to develop a network of satisfied customers or it’s really hard to grow.
Because the older networking businesses asked people to invite friends and family to meetings, “parties,” or other events designed to pitch the products, a lot of people got burned out. Let’s face it — you might be crazy about the product, but a lot of your friends won’t be.
With the Internet changing the world, networking has become easier than ever before. That’s because you can target your marketing efforts to the people who are searching for your solution. It’s really not that hard to do.
If you’re selling dog training, check out Google’s Keyword Planner and find out what words people are typing into their search engines to find dog training. Then design your marketing around the most popular ones.
“Know your niche.” That’s the marketing equivalent to real estate’s mantra, “location, location, location.”
If you want to work from home, the Internet is the ideal place to do it. You can try buying a brick-and-mortar franchise for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and spend 10+ hours per day trying to build up your clientele, or you can promote an active, growing business online just like a franchise. It’s much easier and much less expensive.
