A Tale Less Told

A year goes by, still, the memories haunt
When it all meant everything, still meant nothing
Once together, always will
Only to be a fool to believe all this

Love all you might, still, they go
Never to turn back and say hello
Grieving helps up to a certain point
Loneliness is felt all the time

Broken into pieces, left to scatter
Didn’t even care to see if it matters
All you wish to hear is one word — Hello
But all you get is another day to be alone

Bargain all you might
Scream & fall to your knees if you like
One harsh no is all you hear
Nothing is more heartbreaking than this my dear

Importance is one big word
You deserve it than the rest of the World
Love yourself for who you are
For that is the love that is meant to last

Lowest is the point, you can’t fall more
The only way is up and above
They are there to pick you
Like a light at the end of the tunnel which guides you

Ashes of yourself all around
Rise like a Phoenix breaking the bound
Rise to the glory
For the game has ended and the curtain has been closed
