Where would we be without Starbucks.
As some of you know I’ve decided to go full time on this entrepreneurial journey back in November of 2017, up until that point I never bought a Starbucks coffee or even stayed inside of one for more than a couple of minutes.
Going through this journey can be very lonely at times if you think about it, waking up alone working from home without talking to anyone until the people you live with get home from work. I was driving myself nuts not talking or even being around people throughout the day, it forced me to find a solution to the problem.
Once my Accelerator program started in NYC with 2020 Startups I thought it would be the perfect place to try out a Cafe. The thing is I hated that someone was waiting on me and I felt forced to order something when I really just wanted a coffee. I slowly started to hate Cafes even if they didn’t have anyone waiting on me it just seemed like there was way to much things going on.
Sooooo now what?
For the past year I’ve been living off coffee, I’m averaging about 3–5 cups a day… Up until this summer I only had WaWa coffee (for those who never heard of WaWa I feel AWFUL for you), so I thought it was time to try something new…

I walked into a Starbucks in NYC, ordered my coffee and sat down. It was an experience I haven’t felt anywhere, I saw other people working (side hustling), conversing with friends or simply reading/relaxing. The aura was motivating, the best part about it was I didn’t have to worry about a Starbucks employee coming up to me and telling me I had to leave the store, due to me being there to long… (unlike some cafes).
I started doing EVERYTHING at Starbucks, I was interviewing developers, meeting investors, working, I would even look at random peoples computers to see if they were coding… if they were I talked to them.
Starbucks is such an inviting place to go work or network, being a startup that doesn’t have any capital yet, it’s the best place to go for free and for some banging coffee. I mean every bathroom I’ve been in has been spotless along with the actual environment. What I love most about the experience, are the people working for Starbucks, I’m not exaggerating when I say this… I’ve been to Starbucks all over and I have yet to talk a nasty person that worked there. They’re always in great moods and more importantly happy to help, I constantly take a step back and ask my self…
How does this company continue to find “Good” people?
I want to thank Starbucks for running an amazing company and providing an amazing environment for me to hustle everyday.
