Thoughts On Competition

People are scared of competition. Especially in early-stage companies.

It’s natural to feel this way. However, you should look at competition as a good thing. Validation.

Most early-stage startups have a hard time convincing investors that what they are doing is something worthwhile. The investors say, “If this is so good, why are you the only one doing it?”

Good ideas have competition - lots of it.

One of the best pieces of advice I have heard about competition is that you should work everyday as though there are ten companies doing the exact same thing as you. This way you will push yourself harder and harder to succeed.
