My Native Place Arunachal Pradesh A.K.A Land Of Rising Sun (India)

Many people especially around the globe may not even know this place exist, because Arunachal Pradesh is one of the state of India and Indians itself get confused that this land of rising sun is a part of their own map. Perhaps they aren’t aware of their own national geography or it may be their ignorance towards us, as it could be made out of their reference to the people of our state.

Here let me go into the deep details of our region. The northeastern part of India is comprised of 8 States, which is also known as “The Seven Sisters and One Brother”.

(This little girl in the picture is showcasing the traditional attire of the Tagin tribe, one of the major tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. The Tagins wear this traditional dress on the occasion of Si-Donyi festival, which is celebrated from the 5th till 7th January every year. The name of the festival is a culmination of two words meaning Sun and Moon.) Beside, Tagin tribe there are many major tribes in Arunachal such as Bokar, Ramo, Apatani, Nyishi , Galo, Adi, Sherdukpen, Kamti, Mishmi, Mompa, Nocte, Tangsa, etc. Arunachal has almost 82 major and subtribes and all this tribes speak different dialects and celebrate different festivals as well. Their origin is from Indo-Mongoloid, which is why Arunachali and other parts of Northeast looks completely different from the mainlanders. They all have different and colourful traditional attires of their own. Other than, all these culturally diversity Arunachal is really blessed with beautiful tourism spots or places like most popular ones are Tawang, Bomdila, Mechukha etc. Arunachal Pradesh is a place of different cultures and traditions.
