Learning never ends

Week 10 of the 12 week long Ruby on Rails bootcamp is here. The end is near. I can see it. As the end approaches, the pressure of building my own web application starts to creep in. These weeks were difficult, but the fun I’ve had solving something new every day, the people I was able to meet and support, the events I attended and participated, they all made me realize I wouldn’t trade this for anything else in the world. I have finally found where I belong and what I love to do.

We do not learn from experience … we learn from reflecting on experience. — John Dewey

These past weeks have taught me numerous lessons. Some new, some just reinforced. One, as a matter of fact, that I’m doing right now. Reflecting. Reflecting on my experiences to learn from what I did correctly and what I could have done differently. I will now take all the lessons I have learned and go in a journey of building an app that I have a connection to.

Although the end of my time at The Iron Yard is near, there is much more to come. In a field where learning is what drives success and innovation, I can’t wait to keep learning and see what life brings my way.

Looking forward to showcase both my software and business skills within my app and on Demo Day! November 13th, here I come!
