A few hours ago Malaysia Airlines passenger jet crashed in eastern Ukraine, many say it was shot down by Buk surface-to-air missile system.

Epoch Times- A news publisher started by Chinese-Americans published an article few hours back conveying that Igor Vsevolodovich Girkin A.K.A Igor Strelkov was behind taking down the Malaysia Airlines MH17.

The Malaysian Airlines MH17 was carrying 280 passengers along with 15 cabin crews, reports say there are no survivors.

The Buk Missile system which was supposedly used to take down Malaysian Airline.

“The plane has just been taken down somewhere around Torez (Donetsk Oblast). It lays there behind the Progress mine. We did warn you — do not fly in ‘our sky,’”

However, IATA (The International Air Transport Association) officially announced that Malaysia Airline MH17 was not flying in restricted airspace.

Apparently the news updates state that Strelkov mistook the Malaysian plane for one of the Ukrainian air force jets.

Unfortunately, how can a rebel not identify a commercial plane from the air force jet still stays a mystery.

Was it possible to avoid this incident?

NY Times have published a graphical representation of flight paths received from flightradar24.com.

The survey carried out on various flights connecting Asia and Europe which flew last week suggests that many of the flights had been avoiding flying over the the Eastern Ukraine area.

Strelkov is a Moscow native is was also the key figure behind the recent pro-Russian conflict in Ukraine.

Ukraine’s state security services says that Strelkov is a high ranking office in Russian military services.

kyivpost also states that on June 29, representatives of Donetsk People’s Republic led by Strelkov took over a Ukrainian military base that had Buk ground-to-air missiles.

There has been constant clash between the Pro Russian activist and the Ukrainian forces for months, and during this many Ukrainian aircraft have been shot down.

Just 2 days back Ukrainian officials suggested that Russians shot down an aircraft with the help of advanced rocket system which was carrying food, water & military supplies for their troops.

Malaysia Prime Minister Najib Razak is shocked with the incident and has ordered probe Malaysia Airlines MH17 crash.

“I am shocked by reports than an MH plane crashed. We are launching an immediate investigation”
