On November 23, 2015 Google announced Android studio 2.0, It was in canary channel, It has been released now . Just thought to share about the new welcome screen.

Group projects

I frequently do check out library projects from GitHub. This makes the list of projects to be huge, leads me to confusion when I need to come back and check later. If you’re like me having huge list of projects opened, don’t worry now you can group them together. Now you can keep all your favorite libraries in one group.

Custom project icon

You can set your own icon for your project now. It has theme specific icon setup. Set two icons, one for default theme and another one for Dracula theme. It looks good. Grabs attention faster to open project.
