Code100Challenge: Day 007 — Is This The Pied Piper Algorithm?

Today, I’ve decided to conduct a brief code review of the project I posted yesterday. I figured that it would be a good idea because it would help me “solidify” and “drive-home” everything I’ve learned. At first, I was skeptical about the idea, but I’m happy I went through with it.

To my greatest surprise, what once seemed like an endless stream of packages, configurations, and data passing, is now a simple, streamlined document. As I was reviewing the code, I felt like I had typed much more than what I saw in each of the files. Excitedly, I began taking down more notes in a dedicated notebook.

Everything is clicking in my head! Its as if a grand machine has finally erupted into life, and it’s ferociously compressing this newfound knowledge into a beautifully compact package for me to consume. I’m hyped.

Whats Next?

I will review the code once more, just to ensure I haven’t missed any key concepts. Then, I will begin designing my next project. This time, I will draft the entire project before I write any code at all. I believe that designing using pen and paper or prototyping software (i.e Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma ) would greatly speed up the build process. Additionally, I think that it would eliminate any potential logic errors or bugs that I would’ve came across doing otherwise.

Stay tuned for day 8!
