Rev. Barber you are wrong. Why would you call out ordained ministers by name, publically to embarrass them and their families because you disagree with their decision to pray for the President of The United States of America?
You attempt to use scripture to justify your own worldly emotions and desires. Remember, God installs all leaders. He sets up kings and he removes kings. And you know as well as anyone that God installed Donald Trump to be the President of the United States.
Jesus laid hands on and prayed over sinners, thieves and murderers. God chose Moses to lead his people to the promise land and he was a murderer. God chose John (Saul) to lead the first Christian churches and he used to kill Christians and planned to kill the disciples.
To say President Trump is preying on poor people is not true. He does not even accept a salary but a bet you do. To suggest he is responsible for unjust laws is just silly. The President does not write laws himself that’s the job of the house and senate.
My point is you have many followers, which places you in a position to influence the minds of those who don’t study or do research. They trust what you say. Therefore, you have a fiduciary responsibility to control your worldly, emotionally charged, political rhetoric.
