Finally the Match was Brought to My Backyard

Day two has me excited and relaxed contrary to my expectations. After a lot of fumbling around yesterday trying to familiarise with the various processes that make up the boot camp, today I could rest easy and channel all my energy in putting my best foot forward. Surprisingly today is a much calmer day since my slack’s inbox is not busting its seams as was yesterday. Apart from a few teammates reaching out for advice and clarifications, there is little activity. I am more at ease conversing and comparing notes with my colleagues and this is a great improvement from my usual mode of operation.

The deliverable today were nothing short of a walk in the park for me. Having worked with APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for quite some time now I believe I am well conversant with their development and implementation. I was excited to get a chance to exercise my knowledge and expertise. I have designed and developed several APIs using mainly PHP and I was very curious to find out if my program, written in python, would successfully consume my APIs and….. it did! I feel accomplished since the mastery of a new language is something I always look forward to. The transfer of knowledge and programming logic between different programming languages is always a fun and challenging venture for me. I believe that to fully master my craft as a well-seasoned developer, I should be able to transfer programming logic between languages with ease and the basics of the languages I have learnt should be at my fingertips. This would ensure that developing a product in whatever language would be a plug and play affair.

Generally it was a really good day and am hoping tomorrow would be an even better experience. Cheers!
