Tim Ferris said, “Focus on being productive instead of busy”.
One of the several ways to increase productivity is Pomodoro Technique.

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. These intervals are named pomodoros, the plural in English of the Italian word pomodoro (tomato), after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student. The method is based on the idea that frequent breaks can improve mental agility.

There are six steps in the technique:

  1. Decide on the task to be done.
  2. Set the pomodoro timer (traditionally to 25 minutes).
  3. Work on the task until the timer rings. If a distraction pops into your head, write it down, but immediately get back on task.
  4. After the timer rings, put a check mark on a piece of paper.
  5. If you have fewer than four check marks, take a short break (3–5 minutes), then go to step 1.
  6. After four pomodoros, take a longer break (15–30 minutes), reset your check mark count to zero, then go to step 1.

I experienced this technique August 24,2017 as it was my project.I did” Online Course: Becoming the Most Valuable Team Player”.by set alarm on my cellphone(i used it as promodoro).I started my course to complete it till first project .I used promodoro five times with interval of 5 minutes at each. After fifth turn i completed my task and i took 15 minutes break.

I t was difficult to me to do work non-stop till 25 minutes continuously but finally i did it.I felt a confidence to do work without any stop till few minutes.

I was happy as i did my task continuously two and half hour and still i was in fresh mood. Next time, I will complete my tasks by using promodoro with giving more concentration
