#18 Sense;

-Akila Sridhar

It all made sense now. It all came to me in a rush. It was like the flood gates had been opened and the city needed help coping with the amount of inflow. It’s that time where I can’t help avoiding the accounting terms even if I tried. It’s not like I study a lot but what sticks, sticks. It was all new to me- where I actually cared about and got excited by their presence. It was a new feeling which I hoped would stay fresh and new. It was appreciated while it lasted and I gave me hope- something I had lost a while ago. It told me I’m worth something to someone and I have the power to make up a part of their world and make them smile occasionally. I might choose to make him cringe either ways but if I try , smile wasn’t always a mile away.

He might not be the mister perfect, he might not be the bearded mystery but he’s the one I like. I chose and I’d choose any day.

I for one Had and have a list of boys I’ve kissed till now- his name isn’t one of them. This might seem too corny but that’s entirely because he is not merely a name on the list for me.

Much more than Just that.

I often thought I wasn’t the one who’d fall for anyone based on how They made me feel – rather only if they secured a future with me, had the quotient which made me want to stay, were a safe bet and were a sealed deal. But being a girlfriend for someone who prefers staying alone, was anything but all that. Especially being the one with a past and having to cope with their imagination of how their first grown up relationship should be, was pressuring. As a person who used to prefer flings over feelings and dumb dicks over brainy mouths- I’ve come a long way. This might not necessarily be the immediate end but an entertaining stop which might after all be the destination I was hoping for.

For now. Hoping that lasts forever.

Always an amateur at heart- especially at reading my own.

He is special – a fool.

He chose me after all.
