The Kook or the Crook
Leave it to the Democrats, they sure know how to pick ’em and to their credit, they know how to master the spin game.
How else do you explain the Presidential nominee choices they present as the hope for America’s future? I am honestly dumbfounded that card-carrying democrats are okay with a choice between the “kook” (and just so there is no misunderstanding, I’m looking at you Bernie Sanders) or the “crook” (there should really be no confusion here, just Google ‘Hillary Clinton Scandals’).
Seriously, do they not see anything wrong with this lineup?
Let’s start with the ‘Kook’
Bernie Sanders has referred to himself as a Communist Democrat and more recently modified that self-imposed label to the more palatable “Socialist Democrat”. That tag plays better with the target market of Millenials who ‘heart’ Barry Sanders!
Millenials #feelthebern and can’t get enough of his populist, get even rhetoric of Socialist ideals. It’s rather easy to explain the love affair. This is a generation that grew up coddled and encouraged, never reprimanded and given a participation trophy just for showing up. Bernie is their new Santa Claus, tooth fairy and organized soccer lovefest wrapped into one big Sanders rave!
Reminds me of the old saying…
If you are not a socialist in your 20’s you have no heart. Alas, if you’re still a socialist in your 40’s, you have no brain.
Bernie Sanders wants to kill the evil banks and the capitalist culture of the USA, he supports free college tuition, raising the National minimum wage to $15/hour, believes healthcare is a right and should be free, promises to “tax the rich or 1% back to the stone age” and wants to impose a carbon tax on all corporations, big and small for just existing.
Feel good rhetoric that begs the question: How will you manage to do all this and pay for it?
When asked the question, his notes actually read “crickets” (I’m joking!). His notes remind him to:
- Stay on point,
- Ignore the question and respond with your talking points,
- Isolate and attack the person asking the question,
- Turn your rabid supporters on her, insolent ass and,
- Walk away from the mic.
The Bern: “Student loans killing your mojo and eating into your latte budget? I got your back. Vote for me and I will, in no uncertain terms, cancel the loans from the evil, blood sucking lenders and abolish all college tuition . Tuition should be free for all!”
Millenials: “You are my new God! #feelthebern. Selfie, post to Instagram, Hashtagging, slacktivist duties done.
The Bern: “Starting pay at that entry level minimum wage too low to make a living? I feel you homies! Uncle Bern going make it right, ‘aight! Vote for me and $15 dollar minimum begins stat! Feel me! Ugh!”
Millenials: “Woot, woot! I can qualify for payments on a Prius, still enjoy my craft coffee and pay for a goat in that third-world village that I read about on my bffs blog! The parents won’t mind keeping me on the cell phone plan or if I don’t chip in for the utilities. I’m doing good and they should support me!”
Gotta love the irony of the old, white dude, leading the charge for ‘change’. Haha. #Suckers
The Crook
If Bernie is just a version of crazy, crochety, old Uncle Bern. I can live with that, since any policies he manages to pass, will fail miserably and perhaps once and for all, we can finally put to bed these childish pipe dreams of socialist ideals. One can only hope.
What is more concerning to me and should be to the rest of the voting public is the fact that Hillary Clinton is even in the race! The Benghazi screw-up and classified email scandal alone should be enough to land her in a Federal jail cell. The shadow of criminal activity, suspicious profiteering, scandal after scandal that she brought with her to Washington and the White House, since her Arkansas days is mind boggling.
People! She is an evil-doer! She lies, she steals, she is vindictive and she has sold her soul. The fact that she continues to tolerate a philandering, womanizing creep of a husband and cannot see the hypocrisy of her fake feminist posturing, is borderline psychotic.
The Clinton’s are true masters and politically savvy sharks. They make Machiavelli look like a rank amateur and I really believe that Hillary is the the real brains behind team Clinton. Bubba only thought with the wrong head and that was known all along and dealt with accordingly. He never did any of the heaving lifting. No way. That task was left to the one who wore the pantsuit in that family. Know this!
With the surprising results in last week’s Iowa caucuses, Team Hillary is running scared. This same pattern happened in her last go around when she lost to Obama. It’s hilarious, because it is so true when they say that “history doesn’t repeat but it sure does rhyme”.
Seriously, for our country’s sake…let’s hope so.
