Thanks for the article. To me, although there are many differences, the one I most care about is freedom.
Ethereum is an decentralized development platform. NEO is a centralized development platform. Very akin to iOS and Android.
If the market goes in a similar direction (which I see as likely), both will succeed, wildly, for their individual attributes.
Considering China’s administrative grip on the country (read: great firewall), and that NEO is based in China, this may cause a shying away from developers adopting it.
