Meet Groyper. The modern information space is deluged with individuals and groups pushing their narrative of choice. One group is a sub-group called “Groypers”, which are categorically on the far right, given their predilection to have divisive themes of racism, bigotry, and trolling. At first glance it is a crudely drawn character with characteristics of Pepe the frog notoriety, with added flavors of the racist play on the word Goyim, which is a Jewish name for a non-jew. The Groyper, created and maintained by a Canadian artist https://twitter.com/Mcfagens && https://twitter.com/Mcfagens02 quickly became adopted into internet white nationalist subculture as a mask to spew hate and intolerance, coordinate targeted harassment against any dissenters of the hard right agenda, and generally cause a distracting information space. Groypers also coordinate with specific actors who mingle with multiple groups of parody Antifascist accounts, and have replaced Pepe as the bully of the internet.
Collection
Operatives collecting in a major Groyper communication hub on Twitter have extracted the Direct Messages via an automated collection tool. These DMs show how the Groypers coordinate to target public figures such as Talib Kweli and other opposition accounts on Twitter. For the sake of protecting the patterns and practices, a data extract of 10 days to showcase, the raw data pastebin here: <https://pastebin.com/Z6vBzsF2 & https://pastebin.com/cj4b5Ubz & https://pastebin.com/00dLVkgi> In a 10 day period there are 35 mentions of Talib Kweli, requesting harassment support to use racist trolling, doxing, and other lesser harassment. This is merely one example of how these accounts coordinate within an echo chamber of hatred. On a side note, I am mentioned multiple times. How flattering.

The Creator of the Groyper https://twitter.com/Mcfagens did not intend for the hatred to spiral out of control. See example below. Due to the social pressure of the group dynamic, the continued presence of foreign accounts to further push the narrative of hatred.This didn’t happen, and today these accounts continue to exist to further pollute the information space in a coordinated way.
