I understand your regrets. It seemed like you were good at your as well. I used to be very humble about my talents. It took me a while to realize that I shouldn't be. I was raised to not beat my own drums but the real world doesn't work like that.

I no longer scoff at people who know how to market themselves. It is a useful skill and like any others takes some work. It does not come to me naturally but I need it for survival.
