A paperweight is a simple solid object heavy enough to keep papers from blowing away in a breeze or moving under the strokes of a painting brush when placed on top of them (as with Chinese calligraphy). While any object, such as a stone, can be used as a paperweight, decorative paperweights of glass are made in limited editions by individual artisans or factories and are collected as works of fine art.
Decorative glass paperweights have a flat or slightly concave base that is usually polished but can be frosted and is cut in one of several styles. Despite the fact that a footed weight has a flange in the base. The ground on which the inner parts rest can be clear or coloured, made of unfused sand, or patterned to look like lace (latticinio). Individual artisans or factories with many artists and technicians collaborate to create paperweights, which can be inexpensive or “collector” weights. Pisarto has a variety of Paperweight at an reasonable cost as well as you can look for a Bookmark and Pen Stands too
