that is the right response, to ask the hard questions. that is how to escape the enslavement of guilt. I say to that child “whoopy doo daa. you murdered your mum. you did wrong in a difficult situation. Don’t try to justify it or rationalize it. So a child was confused and made a mistake. What you need to do is forgive yourself. you can contribute to the future if you forgive yourself and let it go. Trying to make murder into a good idea is not a way out of insanity.”
