They assume it is something that is done to while away time or just to fill up time. They see it as a sort of an escape route for work and an antidote for stress. The end-result? Frustration, depression and ultimately giving up.

In other words, identifying what you have to do, doing what you need to do and when you ought to do it. In startup businesses, especially entrepreneurship and most especially network marketing, entrepreneurs and network marketers tend to run from their most their profitable business activities because of rejection.
They’re scared of being told a ‘no’. They would rather merry-go-round and beat about the bush rather than do the needful. They would rather get involved in activities that are fun and easy to do, instead of doing the hard and necessary. To succeed in any business and most especially your network marketing business, you must identify the activities that contribute the most to your business and discipline yourself to do them.
They key to succeeding is intensifying your business activities.
Business Hours
This is the time set aside by the business owner to conduct business activities. Having identified the profitable activities that keep your business running and flying, you must commit to doing them. The time during which you conduct these activities is your business hour. Most entrepreneurs and especially network marketers don’t work while they ought to work. They would rather do other things of lesser value.
There was a day I made up my mind to go on some business expeditions. I was so scared of speaking to people that I kept on walking and walking and walking. I walked for minutes, maybe hours. Then sense dawned: Time was moving and nothing was being done. I made up my mind to either do the business activity I ought to do or I do another thing. I realized I have been deceiving myself. Unless I’m involved in the activities that will boost my business, I am unemployed.

Business Skills
These are the required skills that a network marketer must have to be successful. They include prospecting, presenting, inviting, closing and signing up a new distributor. Also, for product-oriented network marketing, getting a customer and making a sales is very important. Without the necessary skills set, one is just like the proverbial tree cutter who uses the same axe to cut down trees. Over time, the axe got blunt and the tree cutter was just expending energy without cutting down any more trees.
The most profitable way of sharpening your business skills is to learn from the experts. Read their books, watch their videos, and listen to their audios and DO WHAT YOU LEARN. Learning without doing will only boost your mental capacity but greatly deduct from your bank account.
In essence, learn to get knowledge into your head. Then, get out of your head and apply the knowledge.
