Lookin’ So ‘Crazy’ Right Now

Maybe “crazy” seems preferable to “jealous” because the zeitgeist doesn’t approve of jealousy. In a culture as libertarian as ours the dependency that jealousy implies seems weak, and perhaps even more irrational than being (self) destructively “crazy”. I agree that “crazy” reinforces a questionable stereotype but would offer this as a less gendered articulation of your critique.
