I have learned to control my anger by practicing RCT. We all respond to anger in different ways you were right Kate to defuse the situation. Anger in response to anger creates more anger. When we learn not to command ourselves to react, this brings calm to an obvious situation that may quickly become out of control and result in very bad things happening. Ask yourself a simple question= Should I or do I need to respond negatively? The answer is usually no. There is nothing you “should” do. When we eliminate the have to and musts from our thinking we become more rational beings. This is the goal. Rational minds avoid trouble.
