Great post, and great book Alan. I read it yesterday and will go back to read it again with notebook in hand. Lots I agree with and lots of insights that made me want to think and reflect further.

And that’s a key distinction for me in what you have said. Too much of what gets called work these days is done without enough “love, care and attention”, so people are busy but neither they, or the shareholders or customers are happy with the process or the results. So they then proceed to change leaders or structures or processes or tools, but not the mindset of having to be busy over care and attention.

Not everyone has to be a designer, but we need more ‘action by design’, rather than ‘by habit’ or ‘by coincidence’.
