THAT’S ILLEGAL

A lot of Rappers came out with underground songs that attacked the police for the State sanctioned murders of unarmed citizens. It happened mainly after the police rioted in Ferguson and when New York’s police killed Eric Garner in a choke hold. Few Rappers had a Gorilla resume of actual resistance to the State. Chance had both and as Insubordinate he was a different type of Rapper. He was a Soul Rapper.
His Rap song “That’s Illegal” was a surprising hit. At least it was a surprise to Insubordinate for what mattered to him was usually in the minority column of other people’s concerns. But after he played “That’s Illegal” in Washington, D.C. even his daughter Trudy had to give him some props.
His daughter Taylor liked the song because it was girded by a mashup of Boral Kibil — Alone in the World (Original Mix) and Guy J — Lamur (Henry Saiz Remix). Most of the people in the crowd thought both were new, innovative beats. They were innovative but they weren’t new.
The grounds of Martha’s mansion was the ideal place for the song and the estate was roomy enough for the 17,500 people in attendance. Well over 1,200,000 followed the live stream on YouTube. That number was far above the 100,000 views before “That’s Illegal” aired.
Although Chance had initially chosen the estate as cover for his plan to assassinate the Rug Dealer, that plan changed. There too was another surprise for someone else had completed the task for him. They did it the day before Chance himself had planned to do it and on the 2nd day of his three day concert at the mansion.
The song “That’s Illegal” required a lot of singers and Rappers for it was a layered song. The lyrics were simple but the layers gave it its complexity. Tumblr loved it and several GIFs of “That’s Illegal” were already beyond 100,000 reblogs. That was mostly due to his social media handlers Trudy and Taylor. Going viral was their specialty. Anything less was unapproved.
That was all of the approval that Insubordinate needed and it was better than any establishment’s award. For Black Tumblr and Twitter didn’t play or take shit from anyone, including Chance. But both approved of “That’s Illegal.”
The stage was right outside of the mansion had no less than a combination of twenty-one Rappers and Singers for one song. No one knew what to expect but they were able to sing the lyrics that appeared on a big screen and they went like this:
THAT’S ILLEGAL

And there was a second version of the song that ends with From Home ,To Work, and Back by Tall Black Guy on First Word Records #8Miles To Moenart. Supporters would have to wait until Trudy and Taylor get their hands on that version.
