You’re right about several things
There needs to be more social science (discipline and its history of knowledge) brought into the world of innovation/design/marketing…
The only thing that I’m concerned about, is JTBD getting taken over by academics whose interest is to advance their own careers by making overly-complex theories that serve to impress other academics, instead of helping those on the ground who are actually doing the work of making new products.
