Hindsight creates the illusion that you can predict the future

Your ability can logically explain why things happened in the past can trick you into thinking you can predict what will happen in the future.

The future is in fact uncertain and random.

Don’t think you can predict the future.

According to Daniel Kahnemann you can fight this tendency by:

  1. Talk to as many people as you can.
  2. Talk to people that you disagree with.
  3. Talk to people that are in different emotional states to yourself.

These tactics will help you “wake up” from any delusions of being able to see into the future.
