Why did we go to the moon?

To out-compete the Russians

There was a future to work towards

Now there’s a problem, we think we’re in the future.

Our perspective of the future needs some changing.

We’ve stopped dreaming of the next thing. After the moon landings, or the Marianas trench, we never revisited it.

Every new horizon we get to, we give up on.

We think we know everything about the earth, and we know a lot. But have we become “know-it-alls.”

We think we already know. In some ways yes, and in some ways no.

We jump to conclusions. And it’s harmful

If we believe we will never be rich, then we can’t plan to enjoy the family yacht.

If we believe we can’t live forever, then we’ll never get to plan to visit Mars.
