Learning From Trump in Retrospect
Mike Konczal

You make some good points, but is it wrong to point out that Hillary won the popular vote by 2.5 million votes? If she had used the State Department mail server, it’s quite likely she would have won. If the U.S. had not invaded Libya, which she strongly pushed Obama to do, she would have won going away. It’s striking that Clinton received a lower share of the white vote than Obama in Ohio and Pennsylvania (also “striking” that she lost Florida), but it’s not everything. Hillary was not an attractive candidate, and it’s also “striking” that she was the best the Democrats could do.
